On May 21, 2012, the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice held their Spring commencement ceremony in the Comcast Center. Dr. Sally Simpson, department chair, spoke to approximately 250 graduates, their parents and friends, and faculty and staff.
Thomas Alexander, Brad Bartholomew, Maria Joao Lobo-Antunes, and Mischelle Louise Van Brakle received their Doctor of Philosophy degree; Hyun Jung Leem and Robert Lower received their Master of Arts degree; and 325 graduates received their Bachelor of Arts degree.
Honors undergraduates were Sarah Alio, Nicole Frances Beck, Christopher Thomas Brown, LaToshia Ashley Butler, Elizabeth C. Davidson, Julian F. Harf, Caitlin Bree Heidenreich, Tyler H. Hobbs, Martine A. Mastriani, Veronica L. Snodgrass, and LaVonne Antoinette Whitehead.
Peter P. Lejins Award for Academic Excellence was presented to Lizbeth Carrillo and Cassandra Lee Tripp.
Dr. Laure Brooks Honors Thesis Award was given to Elizabeth C. Davidson. Gonfalon Carrier was Sarah Alio.
Dr. Simpson was presented with a plaque thanking her for eight years of service as department chair.
