Professor Brian Johnson has been named Co-Editor of Criminology, the flagship journal of the American Society of Criminology (ASC). This prestigious publication is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of crime, criminal justice and associated phenomenon. The major emphases of the journal are criminological theory, research, and policy evaluation related to the study of crime, law and justice. The central objective of the journal is to strengthen the role of research findings in the formulation of crime and justice policy by publishing top-quality empirically-based research articles.
Dr. Johnson is Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice. His current research interests include court actor decision making, social inequality in the criminal justice system, and the use of advanced statistical modeling techniques to study criminal processes.
