Sara Betsinger, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, is the research manager for the Evidence Based Practices (EBP) and Maryland Juvenile Case Processing & Detention projects at the Institute for Innovation & Implementation in the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her research interests include juvenile justice, disproportionate minority contact (DMC), EBPs, and federal criminal sentencing. She received a M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University. She serves on both the Baltimore City DMC Steering Committee and Advisory Board.
