Sarah entered the PhD program in 2010 after completing her M.A. at the University of Maryland. Sarah received her B.A. from Carleton College in 2002. Before graduate school she worked as a domestic violence victim's advocate for misdemeanor and felony level crimes. Her research interests include violence and victimization, juvenile court processing, maltreatment, intimate partner violence, decision making, sanctions, and deterrence theory.
