Jan Hudson is a second year doctoral student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland. In 2012, he earned his B.A. from Whitman College with Honors in Sociology, minoring in Psychology. For his thesis he conducted primary research in assessing police behavior in a small rural town in Washington State. Previously, he has interned at his local Police Department and the Department of Justice INTERPOL. He is currently interning for the federal government in the field of law enforcement.
His primary interests in Criminology include street-level policing, police behavior, and rural vs. urban policing styles.
Currently, he is a T.A. for CCJS 100 Introduction to Criminology.
