David Mazeika


David Mazeika is currently a PhD candidate in the department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. His dissertation, chaired by Dr. Lawrence Sherman, explores the volume and placement of crime in response to police crack-downs. David also currently works full time as a research analyst for the District of Columbia Statistical Analysis Center, where he conducts process and impact evaluations of local juvenile and criminal justice programs. He previously received funding from the Cambridge University Police Executive Programme to help train police officers in India on the techniques of crime analysis. His general interests include policing, crime analysis, program evaluation, the diffusion of innovations, and juvenile delinquency.
