The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences awarded 279 CCJS students with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and 1 student with her Master of Arts degree at the commencement ceremony on May 19, 2016, in College Park. The Master's degree was awarded to Lizabeth Paige Remrey with her thesis title "Surveillance in Cyberspace: Applying Natural and Place Manager Surveillance to System Trespassing."
Undergraduate Departmental Honors were awarded to Megan Howard Druss, Maximilian Michael Elefson, Morgayne Adriana Keyser, Haley Paige Levinson, Brooke Sara Morris, Dino Joseph Profili, Rebecca Lauren Raciti, and Dawit Mulugeta Yilma. The Peter P. Lejins Award for Academic Excellence was presented to Tinsae Gebriel at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Rebecca Lauren Raciti at the Universities at Shady Grove. Rebecca Lauren Raciti also received the Dr. Laure Brooks Honors Thesis Award. The Gonfalon Carrier award was presented to Joy Alexandra Matthews.
Undergraduate Latin honors, Summa Cum Laude were awarded to Joy Alexandra Matthews and Rebecca Lauren Raciti; Magna Cum Laude honors were awarded to Tinsae Gebriel, Julie Ann Gray, Brian Daniel Guerinot, Erica Lenay Henderson, Amy Catherine Johnson, and Mackenzie Kristopher Wittle; Cum Laude honors were awarded to Nadine Aguntuayi, Jonathan Robert Albers, Forrest Albert Hane, Morgayne Adriana Keyser, Raven Ashley Lewis, Maria Nasios, Samantha Lynn Rowland, and Emily Grace Schreck.
