On October 16, 2017, the Rector of the University of Bialystok in Poland will present Lawrence Sherman with the Medal of the University of Bialystok. Afterwards, Sherman will give a lecture entitled "Re-Engineering Police Systems for Harm Reduction." His discussant will be Professor Jerzy Sarnecki of the University of Stockholm. 

The following week (October 24th), Sherman will receive the Wilbur Cross Medal of Yale University, awarded by the Yale School of Graduate Studies. His talk will be entitled: "Fatal Police Shootings as System Accidents? An Homange to Charles Perrow."
