As part of our plans to launch a new Master of Professional Studies in Public Safety Leadership and Administration this Fall, CCJS and Sociology are hosting a free Zoom webinar, Policing and the Pandemic: New Challenges and Solutions to Public Safety, on Wednesday, June 10th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm (EST). The Director of the new Master's program, Dr. Lester Andrist, will be moderating a discussion with three leaders in law enforcement about emerging challenges and solutions related to policing.

Dr. Andrist plans to ask panel members about new ethical challenges related to COVID-19, especially given the disproportionate impact of the disease on communities of color. Panelists will also be asked to reflect on how the George Floyd killing and the social unrest it has triggered has made these ethical challenges all the more pressing.
