Deanna Devlin graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2013 with a B.S. in Criminology and a minor in Psychology. In 2015, she earned her M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland where her thesis examined how the roles of police officers in schools affect crime outcomes. Deanna’s research interests primarily include juvenile delinquency and juvenile justice issues, as well as school crime prevention strategies. Currently, Deanna is working as a research assistant to Denise Gottfredson contributing to a randomized evaluation of a family therapy intervention targeting gang membership and crime outcomes among gang members. Previously, Deanna has served as the Resource Manager at the Coalition against Child Abuse and Neglect and has interned at the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission in the Grants Management Unit.
