Congratulations to CCJS doctoral student Mei Yang for being selected for the 2020 Maryland Population Research Center’s (MPRC) Summer Research Grant.
Mei’s project investigates the relationship between connections to conventional institutions and resilience in the context of exclusionary discipline using the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health. Also, it explores whether this relationship differs by race.
MPRC Summer Research Grants provide promising MPRC Student Research Affiliates with summer research time or other research resources to complete work on a paper or extended abstract to submit to the Population Association of America (PAA) Annual Conference. They are supported by the Suzanne Bianchi Endowed MPRC Student Research Support Fund, a tribute to the Center's Founding Director.
