Brook Kearley is a doctoral candidate and graduate research assistant. Her primary areas of interest include research methods, criminal justice policy, and program evaluation with a focus on substance use and delinquency prevention and intervention programs. Brook currently works with Denise Gottfredson and Terence Thornberry on a randomized trial testing the effectiveness of an enhanced family therapy intervention to reduce gang involvement and crime among gang members. She was recently awarded a dissertation fellowship from the National Institute of Justice for her research titled Long Term Effects of Drug Court Participation: Evidence from a 15-year Follow-up of a Randomized Controlled Trial.
