The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice has received the AY 2025–26 Graduate Program Mentoring Excellence Award. This award recognizes graduate programs that make mentoring a core program responsibility by building a culture of high-quality, inclusive, and accountable mentoring. Many thanks to Wade for submitting the nomination on behalf of CCJS.
The department would like to recognize the many individuals whose contributions made this mentoring initiative possible. Special thanks go to the Graduate Directors for developing and implementing the mentoring plan, and to the staff for their continued support of the graduate program. The department also recognizes the faculty members who provide meaningful mentorship to graduate students, as well as the graduate student leaders who helped shape the new mentoring guidelines and continue to provide important leadership within the department.
Our program was honored with this distinction at the Graduate School’s Annual Fellowship and Award Celebration on Tuesday, May 12.
