Applying for Graduation

The deadline to apply for graduation is the 10th day of class of the semester in which you intend to graduate.  The deadline to apply for the Spring 2025 semester is Friday, February 7, 2025.   Please visit the Testudo Graduate Candidate Application for more information and to apply.

Only those students who will satisfy ALL of their degree requirements by the end of this fall semester should submit a diploma application. If you are completing your degree requirements during the summer or winter semesters and have questions, contact Diane Hou.

If a student does not complete the online graduation application by the end of the schedule adjustment period of the semester in which they plan to graduate, email ccjsadvising [at] umd.edu for instructions on how to complete a late application.

 

Spring 2025 Commencement

*Recognizing August 2024, December 2024, and May 2025 graduates*

The University Commencement Ceremonies will be held in May 2025. The University of Maryland does not have a fall graduation ceremony in December. 

 

Campus-Wide (Main) Ceremony
Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Time: Student processional will begin at 6:00 PM
Location: SECU Stadium
