Gary LaFree received the ASC Division of Terrorism and Bias Crime’s 2019 Distinguished Scholar Award.  The Distinguished Scholar Award honors an individual’s sustained and distinguished scholarship, and/or service in the fields of terrorism, bias crimes, or political violence from a criminological perspective. LaFree received the award during the 2019 annual American Society of Criminology meetings in San Francisco.  His address was titled, “In Defense of Induction."
