Marshae Capers is a PhD student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland, College Park. Marshae earned her B.A. in Criminology from the University of South Florida with a minor in Africana Studies. Her research interests include race and racial injustices within the criminal justice system, juvenile justice, policing, crime trends, prisons, and collateral consequences of incarceration.
