Daniel Fredes García is a PhD student in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland. He received his BA in Sociology from the Universidad de Chile in 2016, and his MA in Social Survey Design and Analysis from the Universidad Católica de Chile in 2021. In 2022, Daniel was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue doctoral studies in the United States. Daniel's interests include human rights, collateral consequences of crime and societal responses to crime, with a focus on Critical and Southern Criminology.
