Heidi is a master’s student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Florida, where she double majored in Criminology and Sociology and minored in Studio Art. During her time at UF, Heidi served as a research scholar for the Bob Graham Center for Public Service, where she utilized qualitative methods to investigate critical issues facing Florida’s counties. She also worked in theory development as a research assistant for the book Chasing We-ness: Building Empathy and Leadership in a Divisive Age (Marsiglio, under contract). Her research interests center around identity and crime, victimless crime, and crime prevention.
