Cassandra is a doctoral candidate in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She completed her Master of Science degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University in 2018. Her research interests include corrections, gender, reentry barriers and success. She is a Ronald E. McNair Graduate Fellow and works with Dr. Lauren Porter. Her dissertation is a qualitative examination of relationship navigation strategies, adaptation techniques, and gender expression in a women's prison.
